I'd like to give a big hairy thank you to:

• Fred and Stephania Grimm, Darryl Luallen, and all those who put Hypericon together. That's where I met
  • Elizabeth Donald, who was just so friendly and wrote such delicious tales. Sissyphus is still my favorite short story of all time.
  • Hunter Cressall, an independent filmmaker with a great sense of humor who runs the awesome thrice weekly comic strip Vexxarr!
• Russell Burt, a writer out of Chattanooga, TN who made a podcast of his own short stories called Come, Let Me Whisper. Listening to his work has put a smile on my face. Even more than that, because of his supplemental podcast, Whisper Back, I've been inspired to write more because he's the first to expose one of my stories to a wider audience.
• Eva Watler, for getting my creative juices flowing and convincing me that making movies is not beyond reach. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have started Titania Blue Productions.
• Janice Hart, who instilled me with a love of books at an early age, gave me my first constructive criticisms, and handed her Stephen King and Dean Koontz collection down to me when I was in middle school. She also instilled in me an even greater love of writing, something at which she herself is very skilled. I hope one day that she is able to share her own writing with the world.
• Dad, for being so dyslexic that I taught myself to read at 3 because he staggered through my bedtime stories too slowly. Hey, it got you to shut up for a while!
• Mom, for always complaining that I didn't have happy endings to my stories but listening to my scary ideas anyway, giving me that love of language both written and spoken, and for protecting me from the ghosts and demons that tried to steal me from my crib. Maybe you could have slept more at night if you had put that rug of protection under my crib like the dream told you to.
